Oil on canvas, 64.5 × 44.5 cm. Framed 80.5 × 60.5 × 3 cm.

Bio: Self-taught Amazonian painter associated with naïve modern art. Da Silva is considered one of the first Brazilian artists of indigenous heritage to achieve prominence in Brazil and abroad. His unique style was discovered in 1943 by Jean-Pierre Chabloz, a Swiss art critic and artist, and supplied him with painting materials and canvasses. Principle solo exhibitions in Brazil, Paris and Switzerland.
